Plantar Fasciitis Treatment Parkland: Doing It At Home

  2. Wear supportive shoes. This is especially important if you are on your feet for long periods of time or if you are participating in activities that put stress on your feet, such as running or basketball.
  3. Use arch supports or orthotics. These devices can help to take the pressure off of the plantar fascia and provide relief from pain.
  4. Ice your feet. This can help to reduce inflammation and swelling.
  5. Try over the counter pain medications. If home remedies don't seem to be helping, you may want to try over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen or naproxen.
  6. See a doctor. If you've been dealing with plantar fasciitis for more than a few weeks and home remedies haven't worked, it's time to see a doctor. They can prescribe stronger medications or recommend other treatments such as injections or physical therapy.

While plantar fasciitis can be painful, there are ways to manage the pain and improve your foot health. With a little bit of effort, you can keep this condition from interfering with your daily life.
