Who should NOT Choose Laser Therapy as
Treatment for Shingles

While laser therapy can be an effective treatment for shingles, there are certain individuals who should not choose this approach.

First, laser therapy is not recommended for those who have open wounds or lesions. Second, the treatment is not appropriate for people who are pregnant or nursing. Third, those with a history of cancer should not undergo laser therapy, as it may increase the risk of the cancer returning.

Finally, individuals who are taking certain medications, such as blood thinners, should avoid laser therapy as it could interact with the medication and cause adverse effects. For most people, however, laser therapy can provide significant relief from the pain and discomfort of shingles.
