Plantar Fasciitis is often described as a dull or burning pain in the arch of the foot. It typically occurs after periods of extended standing or walking. The pain is usually worse in the morning, when you first get out of bed. Plantar Fasciitis is a relatively common condition that can be treated with rest, ice, and over-the-counter medication. However, in severe cases, surgery may be necessary.
Severity is typically determined by the level of pain and disability experienced by the patient. In general, plantar fasciitis is considered to be a mild condition. However, it can become severe if left untreated. If you experience severe pain or disability, you should see a doctor right away. With proper treatment, most people with plantar fasciitis recover completely within a few months. However, some people may experience recurrent episodes of pain.
